Celeste is the main supporting character in the film. She portrays Abby Jensen's birthday fairy in the movie and is the one who gave her a box of magical candles to grant her 16 birthday wishes.
Personality
Celeste is an energetic, optimistic, fun-loving, and easy-going person, but not air-headed, rather wise; she gave Abby her sixteen magical candles to teach Abby about how important her family is and for her to realize that being a grown-up isn't as easy as she thinks it is.
A majority of her character is ambiguous and mysterious as it is shown that she can warp reality, as she did multiple times in the film such as being an exterminator when Abby's family home was surrounded by wasps, a mail courier, becoming a school counselor and later nurse, giving Abby a perfect red car, changing the janitor's supplies room into a closet for clothes, etc.
